London Export Company (LEC), was established in 1951. Nurturing ties with China has not only shaped our legacy but also transformed the landscape of international trade.

In July 1953, Jack Perry Senior led a delegation to China that forged the groundbreaking agreement with China Import Export Corporation, an essential entity under the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Trade.

The outcome of this meeting was the signing of a groundbreaking trade accord valued at £30 million with the Chinese Government and marked the genesis of a commercial collaboration between Western entrepreneurs and the People's Republic of China.

This landmark partnership laid the foundation for decades of trade and mutual growth. LEC was a trailblazer for development and the first company to have business dealings with new China.
